Women
Infertility
Infertility is inability to conceive. A woman need to know what problem
she exactly has so that she can effectively eliminate infertility from her life.
Infertility is not a permanent situation in the life of a woman. There are essentially
three factors that cause infertility. Lifestyle, including stress, diet, exhaustion,
and every day pressure, can contribute to infertility by affecting the ovarian
response. A shortened menstrual cycle is by and far the most common. As
women age, their ovaries begin to release less egg. Less eggs means that there
is less of a chance that one of them will meet up with a sperm. Of course, there
are some infertility cases that are caused by actual obstructions in the fallopian
tubes, lesions, and the failure of the ovary to work at all.
Infertility may be caused due to blockage in the reproductive system or some other
cause, which might be treated non-surgically. Symptoms
of Infertility -
Irregular menstrual cycles
-
Pain during a sexual intercourse.
- Chronic
inability to conceive after unprotected sexual intercourse
-
Miscarriage Many
times the above mentioned causes of infertility can be successfully dealt with
if you understand what is going on in your body. Too many women blame themselves
and think that they are inadequate in some way just because they are unable to
conceive. Emotional and physical stress develops as the pressure mounts to become
pregnant. This stress is counterproductive and actually creates even more barriers
to conception. The cycle continues until you become hopeless and perhaps
even clinically depressed. And all of the time the causes of infertility were
not your fault at all. Cause of infertility With the lives that women lead today
and all of the stress that women withstand, it's a wonder that anyone can even
function normally much less become pregnant when that one act requires such precision
timing. Infertility is very common today. It's simply a physiological problem
that can be corrected -- if you can get to the root cause.
Infertility can be treated by adopting any of the following options, besides these
methods there are many other methods to treat infertility. Donor In-Vitro
Fertilization - Eggs from a female donor who has undergone fertility drug
treatment are fertilized in the laboratory with the male partner's sperm.
The embryos are transferred into the recipient's uterus, which has been prepared
to support pregnancy. Although recipients partner's sperm is used, the egg is
not of recipients. There is a greatly reduced chance that the baby will have any
characteristics of recipient. It's almost like adopting. Medication
- Birth control pills, clomiphene citrate, progesterone, and fertility drugs
like human chronic gonadotropin (HCG) and human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG)
are often prescribed. But hormone treatment has also been linked to certain cancers
in women, and these drugs are expensive. Ovulation
Induction (OI) - OI also uses fertility drugs, frequently in conjunction with
artificial insemination, to stimulate egg development. The hormone Human chronic
gonadotropin (HCG) is often prescribed as part of this treatment. Along with the
expense and risks of these fertility drugs and hormones comes the lack of intimacy
and the physical joys of the sex act that insemination procedures steal from you.
